When to Be Cautious

Low light, flash glare, or extreme angles. A photo taken from the side with overhead light reflecting across the board reduces accuracy significantly. Photograph the board straight-on and avoid direct flash.

Heavy cursive, cramped handwriting, or faded markers. Dry-erase markers that have started to fade or handwriting that overlaps makes extraction less reliable. Treat the output as a draft and spot-check each row.

Extensive diagrams or complex flowcharts. Text embedded in boxes with crossing lines may lose structural context. For diagram-heavy boards, take close-ups of each section.
